ANNE E.'S JOURNAL - January 10, 2008

January 10, 2008

Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday.

Well sorry to all of you Bucks fans. Another tough one to watch. Third time could be the charm though and it was a great season for the team. Actually what I'm upset about is that the Golden Globe Awards Show has been cancelled because of the writers' strike. Now I'm starting to worry about the Academy Awards. Let's go networks!!!!!

Thanks to all of you who wrote to me or came up to me at a show to let me know that you enjoyed last week's story. It's really nice to receive such positive feedback. And I enjoy writing them.

Last Friday I had a great time at my show at Jimmy's Café. It's a great little spot and I love singing there because it's so quiet. It really allows a vocalist to use their voice to the fullest when they can hear. I do have some shows coming up there so if you've not been, you may want to try to make it out some time. New dates at Jimmy's have been posted on my web site. In addition, the folks there asked me to let you know that they have a new web site. The address is www.jimmys-cafe.net Check it out.

Watch for a merchandise special starting next week! I'm having a 20% off sale on all t-shirts and "Fly" mugs. I'd like to get some new merchandise (I'm thinking sweatshirts) in but I've got to move some of my current inventory. So pay a visit to my merchandise page. We'll let you know when the sale begins!

This Saturday, Jan. 12 @ 7p.m. join Pete Cavano and me at Thorncreek Winery in Aurora. We start at 7p.m. and play until 10p.m. Come and join us for some music wine and great appetizers in a cozy and beautiful setting.

Sunday, Jan. 13 @ 6:06p.m. I'll be with The God Squad at the Avon Lake United Church of Christ for the CrossRoads Contemporary Service. All are welcome.

Early next week I'll be in Nashville for a Songwriters Workshop and to hang out a bit

Next Friday, Jan. 18th, I'll be at Thorncreek again. Show at 7p.m.

Want to let you know that I do have a full-band show scheduled at The Winchester (12112 Madison Ave., Lakewood OH 44107, 216.226.5681, www.thewinchester.net) on Fri., Jan. 25 @ 9:30p.m. Opening for me with be Equals 4 from Akron. Admission is $8.00, parking is a breeze and it's a great club! So mark your calendars.

I'm going to leave you with just a little story. It's a story from the Post Office. I was at the post office before Christmas mailing a bunch of the Christmas CD, "One Voice, One Guitar" (use this link to check out the CD ) when a woman came in with her daughter. Use this link to read the story.

Anyway that's it for now. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and to see you at a show soon. I've already been ordered by someone to send Keith Urban this way if I see him in Nashville so if you need me to say hi to anyone, let me know.

Take it easy,

Anne E.
