ANNE E.'S JOURNAL - January 30, 2008

Janary 30, 2008

Hello to you all. Well thanks for a great weekend. The show at The Winchester was awesome ThereÕs nothing like a full house to get you going. Thanks to Equals 4 for opening up. Thanks to all who attended the show.

So, for those of you who were at the show, you know the news and that is that in April IÕm moving to Nashville. At this point in my career, in order to go beyond what I am doing here in Cleveland, I feel I need to get to one of the music centers and just be there for a time. That means NYC, LA or Nashville.
For me, of the three of these, Nashville has always felt most comfortable. In Nashville IÕll be able to attend workshops on songwriting every week, do an open mic any night of the week and have access to the music industry in a way that I cannot here at home. IÕve never felt ready until now to make any sort of move. But now I feel IÕm ready and IÕm heading out to chase some more fun and adventure. IÕve had 19 years to prepare.

Yep, 19 years ago I got into music in Cleveland as a back up singer for singer/songwriter Craig Robertson. My first gigs were at The Barking Spider and the first time I presented one of my original tunes (Green Hand - on my CD Something of the Soul- Use this link to Listen/Downloand) was at The Spider. Since then itÕs been wonderful. ItÕs been a lot of work but that work has paid off. IÕve released 6 CDs independently and made a living as a singer/songwriter. I feel very blessed. And I thank you all so much for your support over these years....my memory is long. Now itÕs time for me to develop more as a songwriter and to pursue getting my songs pitched and cut. IÕm very excited about this new journey. And I thank the many of you who have responded to the news with your heartfelt support and excitement.

I will be staying in touch as I do now, with this weekly newsletter. So youÕll know whatÕs going on. I will also be coming in to town to do some shows occasionally and of course IÕll be home to visit my family.

I have about 5 shows left in our area. The last show will be on Fri., March 21 at The Winchester. IÕm planning on inviting many of the musicians who have worked with me throughout my career in Cleveland. It will be a very special night and I hope you will join me to celebrate. Details are forthcoming. Just keep your eyes on this mailer and the web site. And again I thank you so very much.

Here are this weekÕs performances:

Fri., Feb. 1 @ 12noon - Colonial Marketplace in the Euclid Arcade (530 Euclid Ave. , Cleveland OH 44115) - solo/acoustic performance

Sat., Feb. 2 @ 10p.m. - The Greenville Inn (16362 Arch St., Chagrin Falls, OH 440.247.8068 www.thegreenvilleinn.com) Full Band Show

I hope to see you soon. Have a good week.
Anne E.
