ANNE E.'S JOURNAL -March 5, 2008
March 5, 2008 Hello to you all inside the ice globe which is now our city. What a day of weather! To think Tuesday we were in spring jackets with windows open, enjoying the sun. Now Im seeing ice all over the trees, tree branches lying all over the ground and Im hearing the wind whipping around. Crazy!
Well, I must give a BIG THANK YOU to The Nickel!!!! What a Saturday night we had! It was absolutely crazy and of course I loved it. It actually inspired a new song called Saturday Night. The Nickel gals did a great job with the room creating space and making the place look spiffy. Plus they gave me a lot of help getting my stuff loaded in and up. And they helped at the busy busy door. So thank you to Patti, Sherry, Nancy, Ginger, and Becca!
Thanks to all of you who came out to the show and whooped it up with us. It was just a delight to see so many faces. Many familiar faces, many I have not seen in a while. I must say sometimes I would look out and just start laughing because you all are crazy!!!!! Seriously I almost could not sing at certain points because I was laughing so hard. What a great night! Thank you so very much. Please send your photos to us so that we can post them on the web site. (mailto:emailfromannee@anneedechant.com and use subject line:

This weekend another round of final shows begins. Friday morning (and I mean morning) the band and I will make our last appearance on the Fox 8 Morning Show before my move to Nashville. Fox 8 Morning Show has been so good to me over the course of several years. We will start playing I think 7ish. Well play bits of songs throughout the show and Ill be interviewed.
Then its on to Magic 105.7 FM to do an in-studio with Lannigan and Malone. I've never been on the show so it'll be a new adventure. We'll play a song or two and talk to the guys about my move and upcoming shows.
After that I go back downtown to perform at The Euclid Arcade/Colonial Marketplace from 12noon-1:30p.m.
It'll be time for a little nap after that. I'lll sleep a bit then get up, load up my truck and head out to my last performance at Jimmy's Cafe. If you are going to the show, I suggest you get there early. It fills up fast. Pete will join me at Jimmy's for this performance. Come join us.
Saturday, I'm off and that'll be nice.
Sunday its the Avon Lake United Church of Christ and the CrossRoads Service at 6:06p.m. If you have not come out to this service and you've been thinking about trying something new, come on out. Its a great casual contemporary worship service filled with music, great messages and warm and welcoming community.
Remember the moving sale continues at shows with CDs and t-shirts at $10.00 and mugs at $5.00. These are "at show" prices. It'll be a few less boxes I'lll have to pack and I'lll be glad about that..
Again, I sure appreciate the warm outpouring you have given me since I announced my move to Nashville. Its really wonderful to have such support. It will be a support to me as I pursue my song writing career. I am grateful to you all. Thank you.
For those of you who have commented that I should have moved long ago (including some former roommates), I just need to tell you, that I really dont believe that's true. There is one reason....I wasn't ready. It is not until this year that I finally felt ready to go. I've been here at home honing my skills, thickening my skin (and I'lll need it) and building my confidence. You have helped me all along. And I know you will continue to do that. I trust that things have happened in their own good time. This is my path, I'm on it and Im walking it! Slow and steady wins the race.
Well, I'm off now to watch the election results. I wish you a safe and great rest of the week and hope to see you at a show or two.
Take it easy,
Anne E
