ANNE E.'S JOURNAL - September 12, 2007 - Behind "Girls and Airplanes"

September 19, 2007

Hey everyone.

Hope you are enjoying your week so far. Thanks to all of you who came out to Jimmy's Cafe this Friday passed. As usual there was a full house, good food, good wine (you can bring your own) and a good show I must say. There is always such a good listening audience at Jimmy's. As we move to bigger shows at bigger venues, there are a few of the smaller gigs I will keep. Jimmy's is one of them. I prefer shows to providing background music. It's just the nature of some places. Believe me, I am thankful for the many gigs I have had, but you reach a point where you become more selective about where to play. It's just a choice I've made. I look forward to the change and I think you'll all enjoy it.

Matt, Kelly and I had a blast last night at The Newman Center Parish's fundraiser in Kent. The Parish was raising money to bring education to children in El Salvador. We were happy to be a part of something special like this. We thank Father John and the entire parish. I'd especially like to thank Doreen and Dale and their families for asking us to do the event and for being so welcoming and kind....along with hysterical. Doreen and Gina your syncopated walk/dance out to the floor was priceless!

This week (tonight! Wednesday Sept 19) I'll be at The Winery at Wolf Creek. Contrary to my news last week, Tim Longfellow will not be there. But I'll be there. Show starts at 7p.m. Come on out, enjoy the evening with a glass of wine, some food (you can bring your own and many do) and music.

On Friday, you can join Pete Cavano and I at Thorncreek Winery for some more wine, more food and more music. This is also a beautiful space to enjoy. We start at 7p.m.

Saturday, the trio will be at The Outpost in Kent. Here I think you should enjoy a big mug of beer, no food and music. Show starts at 10p.m. The cover is $3.00 or $5.00. I'm sorry I just don't know. All I can tell you is either way it's worth it! It's a great stage, I big room and great sound. So come on out to the sticks (in Kent but the outskirts) and boogie!!!!

I hope you can make it out to a show this week.

Thanks to all of you who have requested my music on the radio. You can add WJCU to your list of stations to call. The request line is 216-397-4438. Remember if you don't request me on the radio, you cannot ask me why I'm not famous yet.

Thanks too to all of you who have bought the cd and merchandise. Remember you can get it directly from the web site. You can download my music as well from my my space site, myspace.com/anneedechant or at iTunes or at CD Baby or at about 35 other online stores.
